THESE PROGRESSIVE WORKSHOPS ARE DESIGNED TO IMPROVE STUDENTS ABILITIES AND STIMULATE THEIR CREATIVITY. CALL FOR MORE INFORMATION AND COST OF WORKSHOPS.

BEYOND THE COMFORT LEVEL
This workshop is designed to push the beginner or intermediate potter past their current abilities to become a better potter. This can be either hands-on or observation only, however, it is best as a hands-on. Form and technique are emphasized. Tips are demonstrated for throwing taller and larger. Practice wide flat bowls. Learn the donut, versatility of a closed form, 2,3,4 or 5 piece forms. This workshop includes a problem solving session. Helpful and favorite tools are demonstrated to give your pieces a more professional look and finish. This can be a one or two day workshop, depending on the number of attendees. A two day workshop is preferred if a hands-on workshop is selected.

HANDBUILDING : FALL IN LOVE WITH HANDBUILDING!
Go from simple to complex in this handbuilding class. Hands-on is preferred. Handbuilding can be a pleasure. Texture, molds and attachments are demonstrated. Some discussion on finishes will be explored. We will learn slab and extruders techniques. Antique Textured Boxes, featured on HGTV in season 5 of That’s Clever! Will be explored. Create your own textured masterpieces.

COMBINING TECHNIQUES
Create a new dimension to your work by combining wheel thrown and hand built pieces. Karen’s award winning fish will be demonstrated. This workshop is designed to make your students grow and experiment. Students must have wheel experience.
